Oktoberfest Comes to The Standard: A Five-Course Beer Dinner in Hamilton

Beer Dinners have become a signature experience at The Standard, bringing together thoughtfully created menus and carefully selected beer pairings for one-night-only evenings throughout the year.

This October, we’re giving our next Beer Dinner an Oktoberfest twist.

On Tuesday, October 6, join us for an exclusive Oktoberfest Beer Dinner, featuring five courses inspired by the flavours of Germany and paired throughout with a progressive selection of Erdinger beers.

Oktoberfest, Through The Standard Lens

This isn’t the expected Oktoberfest feast.

Our kitchen is taking familiar Bavarian flavours and reimagining them through The Standard lens. Across five courses, guests can expect cold-smoked Arctic char, seared scallop, a refined interpretation of Schweinshaxe, roasted venison loin and a finale inspired by the classic German desserts Käsekuchen and Bienenstich.

Each course has been created specifically for its beer pairing, allowing the evening to progress from bright and refreshing pours through wheat beer, Festbier and dark malt before finishing with the rich complexity of Erdinger Pikantus.

It’s the latest in our ongoing series of Beer Dinners at The Standard. Intimate evenings designed around the relationship between what’s on the plate and what’s in the glass.
